Statement of Faith

What We Believe at Destiny Church

At Destiny Church, we are not about religion—we’re about relationship. We believe Jesus didn’t come to start another religion but to restore what was lost: connection with the Father, identity as sons and daughters, and the power to walk in the fullness of His Kingdom. Everything we believe flows from the person of Jesus and the truth of His Word. Here's what anchors our faith:

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is our foundation for truth, life, and transformation. We believe every word is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16), pointing us to Jesus and equipping us for every good work.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, revealing the fullness of God's nature in perfect unity (Matthew 28:19).

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the Son of God—fully God and fully man—born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, resurrected in power, and now seated in glory. He didn’t just come for us; He came as us—the perfect prototype of who we were created to be. Through Him, we are redeemed, restored, and raised to new life (Colossians 1:15–20; Romans 5:17).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s empowering presence, active in the earth today. He convicts, comforts, empowers, and fills believers with boldness, spiritual gifts, and the fire to live a supernatural life. We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit as a separate and distinct experience from salvation, evidenced by spiritual gifts—including speaking in tongues (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1–4).

Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift of grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. We are not saved by good works but unto good works (Ephesians 2:8–10). We believe that salvation transforms us from sinners into saints, from orphans into sons and daughters, and from brokenness into wholeness. We also believe salvation can be forfeited by willful rejection and apostasy, as salvation is conditional on ongoing surrender to Christ (Hebrews 6:4–6; John 15:6).

Identity in Christ

We believe every believer is made new in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are not trying to earn our identity—we’re discovering it. In Him, we are chosen, redeemed, holy, and dearly loved. We are no longer slaves to sin but empowered sons and daughters who live from the righteousness of God (Romans 8:14–17; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Spiritual Warfare

We believe there is a real enemy and a real battle in the unseen realm. But we are not fighting for victory—we’re fighting from it. Through the armor of God and the authority of Jesus’ name, we overcome darkness and enforce the victory of the cross (Ephesians 6:10–18; Luke 10:19).

Water Baptism & Communion

We believe in water baptism by full immersion as a public declaration of faith and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (Romans 6:3–5). We also practice communion to remember the finished work of the cross and celebrate our covenant with Christ (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

The Church

We believe the Church is not a building but a body—a family of believers called to gather, grow, serve, and go. Every believer is a vital part of the Church’s mission to make disciples and release Heaven on earth (Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16).

The Five-Fold Ministry

We believe Jesus gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints, build the Church, and advance the Kingdom. These gifts are still active today and necessary for maturing the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–13).

The Return of Christ

We believe in the blessed hope—the return of Jesus to gather His Church. We hold to a pre-tribulation rapture and believe in the literal second coming of Christ to reign on the earth. We live prepared and full of oil, eagerly expecting His return (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18; Matthew 25:1–13).

The Kingdom of God

We believe the Kingdom of God is here and now—advancing through His Church by the power of the Spirit. We are called to walk in dominion, operate in authority, and manifest His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven (Luke 17:21; Matthew 6:10).

Our Core Message

We don’t preach behavior modification—we preach identity transformation. We’re not calling people to religion—we’re inviting them into sonship. At Destiny Church, you’re not defined by your past—you’re called by God for purpose, power, and destiny.
